Michigan State football has added a graduate transfer quarterback for the 2021 season.  He is former Temple University QB Anthony Russo (pictured above).

Russo is a fifth-year senior in 2020, but because 2020 is a "free year" due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  He will be immediately eligible for the 2021 season only, where it is expected that he will compete for the starting position.

Russo, as of now, will join holdovers Rocky Lombardi, Peyton Thorne, and Theo Day at the QB position.  As well as true freshman Noah Kim (who's redshirting this year) and incoming freshman Hampton Fay.

MSU plays Maryland this Saturday in College Park.  Coverage begins with the White Law PLLC Tailgate Show at 4pm on WJIM-AM & WMMQ.  Network coverage starts at 6pm, with kickoff at 7:30.
