ICYMI: MSU Backup QB DeWeaver Transferring

Michigan State backup QB Messiah DeWeaver, announced via his Twitter account after MSU's Holiday Bowl victory last week, that he is transferring from the school.

DeWeaver, a redshirt freshman, was a backup to starting QB Brian Lewerke in the 2017 season.  Messiah appeared in two games in 2017, he did not throw a pass but had a 20-yard run during his brief time under center.  He was slated to be the primary backup to Lewerke in the 2018 season.
