The Detroit Lions put punter Kasey Redfern on season-ending injured reserve and signed punter Jeff Locke (pictured) to replace him on the active roster, the team announced on Tuesday.

Redfern reportedly tore three knee ligaments in the first half of Sunday's victory over the Arizona Cardinals. He was tackled as he ran out of bounds on a fumbled snap.

The Lions' regular punter, Sam Martin, is on the Physically Unable to Perform list.  He won't be eligible to return to the team until after Week 6.
