On Wednesday, the Lansing Lugnuts hired Tyler Parsons as the team's new general manager and promoted GM Nick Grueser to team president, according to a release.

Parsons, who's from Dansville, was the vice-president and GM of the Johnson City Cardinals, the rookie league affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals out of the Appalachian League.  Parsons had been with his role with the Cardinals since 2014.

The Lansing Lugnuts and Cooley Law School Stadium will host the Midwest League All-Star Game next June.  And they open the 2018 regular season at the Great Lakes Loons on April 5th.  The home opener is on April 7th against the Loons.
