At the 57th annual Dean Shippey Capital Diamond Classic on Tuesday night, Lansing Catholic and defending champion DeWitt won their quarterfinal games at Cooley Law School Stadium.

The Cougars rode the pitching of junior Matthew Plaehn to defeat Mason 4-0 in game 1:  Recap via the Lansing State Journal.

Williamston faces defending Division 4 state champion Portland St. Patrick in game 1 on Wednesday at 5pm.  That's followed by Fowlerville against Fowler at around 7:00.  The last two quarterfinal games will be played on Thursday.
