Former Detroit Pistons head coach Larry Brown (pictured) was fired by the team he was coaching in the Italian League, Fiat Torino, earlier this week.

Torino was 5-19 this season in Italy's top league.  He has coached in college with UCLA, Kansas, and Southern Methodist University, and in the old ABA and NBA with a total of ten teams.

He is the only coach in basketball history to win an NCAA Championship (Kansas in 1988), and an NBA title (Detroit Pistons in 2004) as a head coach.  He was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2002.
