The University of Michigan made it official on Wednesday, they have signed men's basketball coach John Beilein (pictured) to a new five-year contract that will keep him in Ann Arbor through 2023.

Coach Beilein had announced earlier this summer that he would remain at U-M after interviewing for the then-vacant Detroit Pistons head coaching position.  That eventually went to former Toronto Raptors head coach Dwane Casey.

He'll get a five-year rollover contract that can get renewed every year.  Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

Beilein led the Wolverines to the National Championship game this past season, where they lost to Villanova.  They have won the last two Big Ten postseason tournaments.
