Sports fans in these parts get pretty crazy when it comes to recruiting...specifically, Michigan State recruiting. But, let's not forget, there are some great athletes in Mid-Michigan who don't get the accolades and attention they deserve when it comes to their college futures.

Yet another area athlete is drawing praises from a number of major Division I basketball programs. Holt Junior Jaron Faulds is one of the state's most highly touted 2017 recruits. According to a family member's Twitter account, Faulds spent last Saturday alongside Michigan Basketball Coach John Beilein at the Wolverines' home football game against Oregon State.

According to lsj.com, the 6'10" Faulds has received official scholarship offers from Central Michigan, Toledo, and Oakland. But, Faulds has also had interest from, obviously, Michigan, as well as Michigan State, Xavier, Stanford, and Iowa.
