Basketball Hall of Fame coach Rick Pitino (pictured) has settled his lawsuit with the University of Louisville on Wednesday morning.

This settlement comes nearly two years after the Hall of Famer was fired for NCAA violations committed under his watch that forced the NCAA to vacate the school's national championship in 2013 (defeated Michigan in the title game).

Pitino has coached Providence, Kentucky, and Louisville to the NCAA Final Four during his long coaching career dating back to the 1980's (won the NCAA Championship in 1996 with Kentucky).  And he has also been a head coach and an assistant coach in the NBA with the New York Knicks and the Boston Celtics.
