Highly Touted Vernon Carey Jr. Picks Duke Over MSU

ESPN's number 3 basketball recruit for 2019, Vernon Carey, Jr. out of Southwest Ranches, Florida made his college choice on Thursday afternoon.  He announced that he will attend Duke University at a press conference at NSU University School.

He picked the Blue Devils over Michigan State and North Carolina, which were the other schools in his final three.

Carey is a 6-10, 275 lb. center from NSU University School in Southwest Ranches, Florida (just west of Hollywood, Florida).  He is rated number 3 on the ESPN Top 100 for the class of 2019.

Carey joins current NBA player Jabari Parker as players who picked Duke over Michigan State.
