Here’s Every State College Football Coach’s Favorite Musical Act
For some reason, Stadium.com decided to ask every college football coach in the NCAA's FBS Division who is their favorite musical act. Jim Harbaugh's may surprise you.
Kenny Chesney ended up as the top vote-getter, getting eight votes. Eric Church finished second with six votes, followed by Dave Matthews Band, which was third with five votes.
Here are what the five FBS coaches in Michigan answered.
Jim Harbaugh -- University of Michigan
Was Jimmy a stoner back in his student days? Harbaugh said Bob Marley and the Wailers were his favorite. Marley's Greatest Hits album is on every stoner's playlist. While it's kind of a weird choice for a milk drinker, I'm sure Jimmy will be cranking up 'Redemption Song' if he can upset Ohio State later this season.
Mark Dantonio -- Michigan State
I would have thought the longtime MSU mentor would have been a classic rock guy, but it turns out his favorite is country superstar Eric Church. Church likes to sing about the reefer as well, but Dantonio probably relates more to the Church hit, 'Mr. Misunderstood', after his changes failed to reignite his offense.
Tim Lester -- Western Michigan
Lester prefers the jam band mellowness of the Dave Matthews Band. One could easily picture Lester chilling out on the Pine Knob lawn with a craft beer while tapping his feet to 'Ants Marching', but the Dave Matthews song that best sums up this season for Lester might be 'Where Are You Going?' as the Broncos still aren't sure if they'll qualify for a bowl game or not.
Jim McElwain -- Central Michigan
Jim went old school with his selection of Earth, Wind and Fire, and while it's certainly not the kind of music one might picture for a guy who lives in a barn, he is currently a 'Shining Star' in Mount Pleasant for resurrecting a team that won one game all last year. The Chippewas could become bowl eligible with a win over Northern Illinois Saturday.
Chris Creighton -- Eastern Michigan
Craig chose The Eagles as his favorite musical act. Is he a fan? Or did he pick that because Eastern's team name is the Eagles, we may never know, but we do know he's no Big Lebowski, who despised the band.
