Whether you are a seasoned golfer or have only played one game in your life, consider attending the 2019 Leo’s Lodge & Outpost golf scramble to benefit the Old Newsboys.

Since 1924, The Old Newsboys Association of Greater Lansing has been working to ensure that children have the footwear they need to attend school. Each year, the Old Newsboys serve over 7,000 children within their 25-mile radius service area, which includes Lansing. You may know of the charity's spoof newspaper that is printed annually by The Lansing State Journal. On that one day every year, called Sales Day, you'll see the Old Newsboys around the area trading those newspapers for donations.

While Sales Day is their biggest event, it isn't the only way you can support the organization. For the past 16 years, the Old Newsboys have also partnered with Leo's Outpost to put together a golf scramble that benefits this wonderful cause. This year's outing will take place on July 29th at the Wheatfield Valley Golf Club.

If you were looking for an excuse to pull out your golf clubs, this event is the perfect opportunity! Find more information about the event on the Leo's Outpost website. If you would like to learn more about the Old Newsboys, be sure to visit their website.
