The Haslett Vikings used a 17-0 run in the first quarter to defeat the St. Johns Redwings 73-24 Tueday night.  The win kept the Vikings (11-5; 8-0 CAAC Red) in 1st place, with a showdown looming on Friday vs the DeWitt Panthers.  After 4 minutes went by in the opening quarter the score was tied at 4 a-piece.  But the basketball got stuck in the support after a Redwings (1-14; 0-8 CAAC Red) shot.  It took several minutes for the ball to become dislodged.  And during that time, Haslett regained their composure and went on to score 17 unanswered points.  All 14 members of the roster scored for the Vikings, led by Hunter Nash's 12 points off the bench.  Mitchell Mowid put in 11, going 4-4 from the field.  The Redwinds were paced by Cole Thomas & Anthony Mazzolini, who each scored 6.
