Haslett Clinches CAAC Red Title With Tight Win Over DeWitt

The Haslett Vikings had to hang on, but they won the outright CAAC Red championship on Friday night with a close 43-40 victory over the DeWitt Panthers at DeWitt HS on Friday night.

The Viking offense was paced by guard Patrick Hintz, who scored 18 points while hitting four 3-point bombs on the night.  Mitchell Mowid added 12 points, including three 3-pointers.

DeWitt had only one player in double figures in Isaac Hungerford, who had 11 points.  Star forwards Luke Hyde and Tanner Reha were held to a combined 14 points.  Hyde had nine while Reha had five.

Haslett clinches the CAAC Red crown with a 9-0 league record (12-5 Overall), while DeWitt drops to 7-2 in league play (12-4 Overall).
