Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer announced on Friday morning during a press conference that she is extending the current stay at home order (due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic) from April 30th until May 15th.

While the order has been extended, Gov. Whitmer did open up certain businesses that were closed by her last stay-at-home order. Golf courses, lawn care and landscaping businesses, as well as gardening shops and bicycle repair shops will now be open. Motors on boats will now be permitted as well.

This order reverses, to an extent, the stay-at-home order the Governor issued two weeks ago that closed all of the above businesses and issued other restrictions.

The new stay-at-home order goes into effect immediately.
