He's come a long way from borrowing  his mother’s golf clubs and walking to nearby Mission Viejo Country Club to play as teenager. Known as one of the most personable and well liked players the PGA has ever had, Mark O'Meara is a fan favorite anywhere he goes, and to the delight of local fans he will be back again at Warwick Hills for this years Ally Challenge.

The World of Golf Hall of Famer, with 16 PGA Tour victories, will be teeing it up again this year as the PGA Tour Champions return to Grand Blanc for The Ally Challenge. The tournament runs September 9th-15th and will again feature big names such as John Daly, Vijay Singh, and Bernhard Langer alongside O'Meara.

The inaugural year of 2018 had golf fans embracing the idea of professional golf being back at Warwick Hills.  The tournament had many feeling the nostalgia of the old Buick Open with the return of so many familiar players from those days. With the incredible success of the first year and the unwavering commitment from Ally Financial to the community, this years event is sure to be bigger and better than ever.

O' Meara chatted with me about his relationship with Ally, the tournament, and his thoughts on today's PGA players. Hear the full interview by clicking below.
