Fowler HS Cross-Country Runner Wins Student-Athlete Of The Week
Dowding Industries and the Lansing Sports Commission present the weekly High School Student-Athlete of the Week.
This week's honoree is Kelcie Pung, a senior on the Fowler HS girls cross country team.
Kelcie finished 2nd at the Josh Lott Memorial Invitational at Webberville HS last Saturday with a time of 21:20 while leading the Eagles to the team title at the Invite. And earlier this season, she finished 4th at the Don Baese Memorial Invitational in Hubbardston with a time of 21:01.
Kelcie is a three-sport athlete, playing basketball in the winter and running track in the spring. She is also a great student, carrying a 3.84 grade point average and is the president of the school's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
And earlier this week, Kelcie announced a verbal commitment to Saginaw Valley State University, where she will continue her athletic career as a cross country runner.
Congratulations to Fowler HS senior Kelsie Pung of the girls cross country team. She is the High School Student-Athlete of the Week.
And it's brought to you every week by Dowding Industries and by the Lansing Sports Commission.
