Former MSU defensive back Mylan Hicks was killed at a nightclub early on Sunday according to the Calgary Stampeders.

Hicks was shot at the Marquee Beer Market in Calgary just after 2:30 a.m. and investigators said he was pronounced dead at he hospital.

The Calgary Stampeders said in a statement they were “devastated by the news of the death of team member Mylan Hicks.” Hicks, 23, was a defensive back on the team.

“It’s a terrible tragedy. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Mylan’s family,” general manager John Hufnagel said in the statement.

 

The police have the suspects in custody and have not found the motive of the shooting according to Global News.
