Former Pro Bowl safety of the Detroit Lions, Glover Quin (pictured), announced his retirement from the NFL in a text to ESPN reporter Michael Rothstein on Tuesday morning.

Quin played for 10 seasons in the NFL, the last six with the Detroit Lions.  He was a Pro Bowl performer while with the Lions in 2014.  He led the NFL in interceptions with 7 in 2014.  The Lions released Quin this past February after starting all 16 games in 2018.

Glover was drafted by the Houston Texans in the fourth round out of New Mexico in 2009.  He signed with the Lions as a free agent before the 2013 season.  He leaves the gridiron with 24 career interceptions, returning two for touchdowns.  He also forced ten fumbles during his career.
