Former Lion Burleson Joins The NFL Today

Former Detroit Lions wide receiver Nate Burleson will join the CBS Sunday morning football show "The NFL Today" for the 2017 season, according to the network on Monday.

Burleson played in the NFL from 2003-13, he was with the Lions from 2010-13.  He was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in the third round of the 2003 NFL Draft.

According to the release, Nate will continue his role as studio analyst on the NFL Network's daily morning show "Good Morning, Football", which he has done since 2016.
