Former Lansing Lugnut To Compete In MLB Home Run Derby
Remember back in April when we told you that former Lansing Lugnuts player, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. would be making his Major League Baseball debut in Canada with the Toronto Blue Jays? Well, here we are just a few short months later and the latest news about Guerrero Jr. is that he'll be competing tonight in the MLB Home Run Derby. And it could be a REALLY big night for Vladimir because if he ends up winning tonight's Home Run Derby, he'll take home the grand prize of ONE MILLION DOLLARS.
According to ESPN, at 20 years and 114 days, Guerrero Jr. will break the 1990 record by Ken Griffey Jr. (20 years, 230 days) for the youngest participant in the Home Run Derby. And another fun fact about Guerrero Jr.? He was only 8 years old in 2007, when his dad won the Home Run Derby. Click here to read more.
