Matt Costello inks a deal with the Atlanta Hawks and will participate in the team's training camp according to NBA.com. The terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Costello played in the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas and averaged 5.7 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.2 assists in six games.

The 6-foot-9 forward appeared in 138 career games at Michigan State, Costello averaged 6.0 points and 4.7 rebounds per game. He finished with 146 blocks which made his MSU's all-time leader.

During his senior year he averaged a double-double with 12.3 points and 11.7 rebounds per game. Costello was not invited to the NBA combine and went undrafted.

Costello is the 17th player on the Atlanta Hawks roster and have until the bringing of the 2016-2017 season to cut the roster down to 15 players.
