Michigan Towns That Will and Won’t Have Fireworks on the Fourth of July This Year
We all understand why the fireworks were called off in many towns around Michigan last year, but this year we want our fireworks back.
COVID numbers are dropping, and those of us who are fully vaccinated are so excited to get back to normal or as normal as we can be. That being said, I/we, would love to celebrate the Fourth of July with some fireworks this year.
Some Michigan towns have already canceled this year's fireworks. Mason, Meridian Township, and Delta Township have all decided to cancel their fireworks displays. That decision has left many residents wondering why and where they can see fireworks on July Fourth.
Here is the most recent list of communities that will have fireworks this year:
- Eaton Rapids
- Mackinaw City
- Newaygo, located in the Upper Penninsula
- Bay City
- Hamlin Lake
- Grand Rapids
- Mackinac Island
- Ann Arbor
- Traverse City
- Kent City
- New Buffalo
- Whitmore Lake
- Grass Lake Township
- Bay Harbor
- Carson City
- Boyne City
Obviously, many communities haven't made their final decision yet so this list will be updated.
Michiganfireworks.com keeps a list year-round of all of the fireworks displays happening in the state if you would like more information.
Keep checking back, and let's have a firework-filled Fourth of July!
