Former Fulton High School football coach John Winkler was surprisingly fired last week, despite great success at the school.

Winkler posted an 89-36 record in 11 seasons, and made the playoffs 10 times. His teams appeared in three state semifinals and one state championship game.

He also coached varsity baseball at Fulton for 23 seasons.

Winkler joined Mad Dog in the Morning on Monday and said he believe he was fired because of a personal vendetta held by Fulton's athletic director against him. You can hear Winkler's side of the story in the full interview below.
