Sunday night, at 9:42 p.m., a fireball appeared over the eastern part of the United States. A fireball so bright it was seen in 12 states (including Michigan) and southern Canada.

If you saw it, the American Meteor Society would like to hear from you. According to Space.com, the fireball (presumably a meteor) passed right over southern Ohio. The American Meteor Society received at least 120 reports, everywhere from South Carolina to Ontario, Canada. There is video of it from Knoxville, Tennessee and Columbus, Ohio

In Michigan, the AMS received reports from South Haven to the west and Holly, MI to the east. Some observers have reported that the fireball was greenish in color.
