Ferris State Used Ineligible Player Versus Grand Valley State
Five days after the NCAA Divsion II's 2nd-ranked team, the Ferris State Bulldogs defeated Grand Valley State 35-31 in Allendale. Ferris State announced on Thursday that the team used an ineligible player during last Saturday's contest.
Ferris State is working on getting that player eligible, reportedly defensive lineman Dan Perry, according to a Grand Rapids TV station.
The Bulldogs will face Saginaw Valley State on the road this coming Saturday. There is no word as of yet for any penalties against the school for the rules violation.
