Fall is a beautiful time of year in mid Michigan. With the arrival of the fall colors also comes pumpkins, cider, apples, bonfires and fall festivals.

Halloween is big in our household. We love decorating for it and celebrating Halloween. This year I think I am going to go as Colonel Sanders for Halloween.

Fall festivals are lots of fun to attend during autumn.

Thankfully mid Michigan doesn't hold back when it comes to festivals, all year long. Again, mid Michigan doesn't disappoint during the fall. Maybe getting out to an Oktoberfest is something you want to do. Perhaps you want to take in bourbon fest? Maybe the darker side of Halloween is something you're into. Regardless of what you have a passion for, odds are you will find a cool festival to attend this season.

When I think about awesome fall festivals, the first one that comes to mind was the old Edge Octoberfest in Old Town, circa 1997-1999. This festival took place in downtown Old Town. The live music festival was a fun two days of alternative rock music. We had Matt Pinfield from MTV host the stage one year, that was a crazy awesome weekend!

Have you been to any of the fall festivals in the mid Michigan area recently? Perhaps it's worth revisiting post pandemic? It's time to get out of the house! Step out of your comfort zone and check out new things, including festivals. I hope to see YOU at some of the following events this fall.
