Wow, that's a lot of votes!

By Wednesday afternoon, more than 15,000 votes had been cast to determine which opening-round Lansing-area high school football playoff game WVFN broadcasts Friday night. Eaton Rapids' game versus Kalamazoo Hackett was more than 2,000 votes ahead of second-place Tecumseh at DeWitt.

The other two games were well off pace.

Here's a recap of the four choices we have:

  • Tecumseh (5-4) at #2 DeWitt (9-0): The Panthers begin another run at a state title at home in this Division 3 tilt.
  • Kalamazoo Hackett (6-3) at Eaton Rapids (6-3): The Greyhounds host the combined team of Kalamazoo Hackett and Kalamazoo Christian in this Division 4 battle of 6-3 squads.
  • Onsted (6-3) at #4 Lansing Catholic (9-0): The undefeated Cougars begin their run at a state championship at Holt Junior High School, welcoming Onsted.
  • Williamston (7-2) at #2 Lansing Sexton (9-0): The Big Reds look to start out another deep postseason run with the CAAC's visiting Hornets.
Use the poll below to tell us which game Nick Chase and Jack Ebling should broadcast live this Friday evening. Voting ends at 6 p.m. tonight, but you can vote as often as you'd like until then.
