
East Lansing Uses Big 3rd Quarter To Throttle Haslett
The East Lansing Trojans outscored the Haslett Vikings 21-5 in the 3rd quarter to break open a close game and the Trojans went to win 84-49 at East Lansing High School on Tuesday night.
Senior guard/forward Noah Schon led EL with 28 points and three rebounds, he hit 6 3-pointers on the evening. Fellow senior and Mr. Basketball candidate Brandon Johns scored 23 points, grabbed 12 rebounds, and had five steals.
Mitchell Mowid led the Vikings with 17 points, but he was held scoreless in the second half. Mowid was the only Haslett player in double figures.
The Trojans outrebounded Haslett 33-30 and outshot them from the field 51% to Haslett's 36%. They also did better at the free throw line, going 11-23 as opposed to Haslett's 2-5.
East Lansing is now 3-0 on the young season, Haslett falls to 1-2.
