Earth Day is coming up this Saturday. What do you have planned to celebrate? What can you and your family do to help our planet?

Earth Day is something that has been around for years:

Earth Day is an annual event on April 22 to demonstrate support for environmental protection. First held on April 22, 1970, it now includes a wide range of events coordinated globally by EARTHDAY.ORG (formerly Earth Day Network) including 1 billion people in more than 193 countries. The official theme for 2023 is Invest In Our Planet.

Sadly I didn't get familiar with Earth Day until I moved to Lansing area. I started getting into it once I learned more about it and it feels good to do something for our planet that will hopefully be around for millions of more years.

National Geographic offers some insight:

Each year on April 22, more than a billion people celebrate Earth Day to protect the planet from things like pollution and deforestation. By taking part in activities like picking up litter and planting trees, we’re making our world a happier, healthier place to live.

Let's work together to make our environment better. Let's get together in mid Michigan.
