The NHL Playoffs are heading into the Conference finals.  If you are having Red Wings withdraw, a pair of Red Wings will be apart of the upcoming IIHF World Championship.

According to M-Live,  Team USA will be coached by Red Wings coach Jeff Blashill.  His leader, Dylan Larkin is on the roster for this years team.  Larkin will also be joined by Red Wings teammate Luke Glendening.

This year the World Championship will be played in Slovakia and Team USA is among a handful of teams competing in the event.   Last year Team USA won the Bronze medal.

Currently they are 5-1 favorites for the gold behind Canada, Russia and Sweden.   Their tournament begins on Friday (May 10th) afternoon against Slovakia.

Other Red Wings featured in the tournament will be Anthony Mantha and Tyler Bertuzzi with Team Canada and Filip Hronek with The Czech Republic.

All the games will air on the NHL Network and for the full Team USA schedule you can check out the Team USA page for the World Championship here.
