I've got some unfortunate news for car enthusiasts.

Detroit's 2021 Autorama show has been canceled. It was supposed to take place at the TCF Center April 30 through May 2, but has been postponed due to the pandemic. However, according to their website, the show will return in 2022.

Peter Toundas, president and owner of Championship Auto Show told the Detroit Free Press that he teamed up with the TCF Center and health department to redesign the shows layout but ultimately determined that the current COVID-19 regulations would still make things difficult.

With the very tight controls that will be necessary, we are concerned that the experience will be significantly diminished. We want to 'bring back the fun' during such a difficult time, but we do not want to possibly endanger anyone's health.

I'm not one to deliver bad news and no good news. If you're bummed out that the Autorama was canceled, the Motor City Car Crawl is set for this August! It'll showcase cars, trucks, SUVS, as well as live entertainment and food trucks.

MC3 will run Thursday, August 5 through Sunday, August 8. All days except Saturday, August 7 are free. Saturday will be a ticketed fundraiser, which will benefit eight different children's charities.

Ticket information for the MC3 has not been released yet.

Do you remember how much gas was the year you started driving? I honestly couldn't tell you, but I do remember complaining that it felt like a gallon of gas was close to $5.
