Detroit Tigers Trade Cameron Maybin

ESPN is reporting that the Tigers have traded center fielder Cameron Maybin to the Los Angeles Angels on Thursday evening.

The Tigers are expected to receive a right-handed pitcher according to Buster Olney The Angeles are expected to exercise Maybin's $9 million dollar club option in 2017.

Maybin had a productive season that was shortened to 94 games due to injury. The 29-year-old was batted .315, scored 65 runs and batted 43 runners in.

Tigers general manager Al Avila plans to cut payroll for 2017 and this is their first move in that direction.
