Mize is a right-handed pitching junior from Auburn University who is currently playing in the College World Series. His last outing saw him help Auburn stave off elimination with a seven inning, 11 strikeout performance against Army. Auburn would go on to win their regional and will now face Florida in a best-of-3 Super Regional.

Mize has had a pretty tremendous junior season with Auburn putting up a 10-5 record with a 2.95 ERA in almost 110 innings of work. He has 151 strikeouts to 12 walks this season (K:BB ratio of ~12.5). He's the only pitcher on the Auburn staff who keeps hitters to under .200 in batting average.

Mize features a mid-90's fastball with a splitter that grades at a 70 (out of 80) on MLB Pipeline's scouting page of him. Mize was undrafted out of Springville high school in Alabama, which goes to further illustrate his development in college.
