The Detroit Tigers are in a predicament.  Make trades to acquire talent for the stretch run, or sell off their impending free agents to get prospects for the future.

The Tigers are 46-46 as of the morning of July 21st, they are 4 games out of the second wild card spot in the American League and 9 1/2 games behind Kansas City in the AL Central.  However, they have six free agents that the team could lose this offseason.

And according to USA Today's Bob Nightengale, the team could be selling off David Price and Yoenis Cespedes before the July 31st non-waiver trade deadline to help replenish their minor league system.
