Detroit Lions head coach, Matt Patricia is heading to Michigan International Speedway on June 9th

According to the press release from Michigan International Speedway, Patrica will be the Grand Marshall for the Firekeepers Casino 400 on Sunday, June 9th.   The race will be the first of two Monster Energy NASCAR Cup series races at M.I.S this year.

Patricia will give the command to start the race on June 9th.   Patricia is in his second season as the Lions head coach.

He and the Lions will start their 2019 preseason on August 8th against the Patriots.  The 2019 regular season will see the Lions on the road in Arizona against the Cardinals on September 8th.

Race Weekend for M.I.S will also include the ARCA Menards Series 200 on Friday, June 7th and The LTI Printing 250 XFinity Series race on Saturday, June 8th.
