DeAndre Levy Out for Season?
Not one week after it was thought DeAndre Levy would be back and ready to provide a spark into the woeful Lions, comes reports that Levy might go back on the shelf for the rest of 2015.
That story, also linked here, quotes Lions head coach Jim Caldwell on the topic of Levy's injury and potential shutdown: "Yeah, I think, obviously, the doctors will make that final determination on that, they'll look at him closely. They'll make some evaluation and see where he is."
Levy, the Lions leading tackler last year, did not record a single tackle in the limited time he saw in the 42-17 blowout loss at home to the Arizona Cardinals.
From Birkett's report: "I was feeling really good up until there was one play where I felt it tweak a little bit," Levy said. "But up until that point, it felt good. It’s just something I got to keep managing. Hopefully, it’s not as bad -- it doesn’t feel as bad as the first time. But we'll see."
The Lions already sit 0-5 on the season and are the NFL's only winless team, more salt in the wound it would be if Levy gets shut down.
