David Blough became the first Lions quarterback since 1984 to catch a touchdown pass, and luckily it didn't interfere with the Lions losing.

I was watching the game at TopGolf on Sunday, and the place was packed with Lions fans hoping Detroit would lose. Obviously this isn't normal, but everyone wanted to make sure that the Lions got the second draft pick in 2020. Even though they managed to lose, Detroit will pick third in the draft.

The crowd was confused on how to react when Blough sprinted out of the back field and caught the TD pass from Amendola. The normal sports fan side of everyone wanted to cheer, and most did. Then the reality set in that the Lions were in the lead . . . and might win the game. That would be bad.

Luckily the Lions went on to lose 23 to 20.

Blough is the second Lions QB to catch a TD. It was done in 84 by Gary Danielson, and Amendola becomes the second Lions receiver to throw a TD pass.
