Mark Dantonio addressed the media in a weekly press conference on Tuesday, talking about the Furman win, the early bye week for the Spartans and the upcoming showdown with Notre Dame in South Bend.

Dantonio sees positives to having a bye week this early (one of the only FBS programs in the country to have a bye this week) like how having an extra week to practice and gameplan for Notre Dame will give the coaching staff more time than usual to iron out some wrinkles and get this team prepared.

Coach Dantonio also made note that the team needs to play with more discipline, the penalty yards amassed by the Spartans was more than LJ Scott's rushing total, a statistic that shouldn't be close to happening.

Speaking of LJ Scott, Dantonio's thoughts on the state of the crowded running back depth chart.

Michigan State is off this week but will travel to South Bend, Indiana to take on Notre Dame Saturday September 17th. You can hear all the action on Classic Rock 94.9 WMMQ and Lansing's Big Talker 1240 WJIM-AM.
