According to WSBT.com, southern Lake Michigan will be seeing rip currents and 4-7 foot waves today and tomorrow. These conditions were present late last week, when two people drowned and several people had to be rescued.

This has been a strange year on the lake, with high water levels, warmer than average water temperatures in some places and late last week, according to WOOD-TV, cold water temperatures due to something called "upwelling", which made he water 25 degrees colder at Grand Haven than South Haven.

Stay safe - and just don't go in the water for the next couple of days. There's plenty of summer left.
