In just a matter of weeks/days our world has changed. Michigan has gone from having two cases of the coronavirus to now having over one thousand cases and nine reported deaths. Now we have our first case of COVID-19 in our Upper Peninsula. That was announced yesterday.

M-Live is reporting that the man is being hospitalized in isolation and is no longer in Chippewa County. The Chippewa County Health Officer Karen Senkus said in a release to the public, "if you are sick, isolate yourself at home whether you have been tested or not."

Also: wash your hands, wash your hands, wash your hands.

Governor Whitmer will be holding a press conference this morning on the virus and its spreading around our state.  Governor Whitmer along with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services Chief will provide an update regarding our states response efforts to stop COVID-19.

Other states have been ordering a mandatory lockdown, like in California, New York, Illinois, and there will be more to come. The Governor has said all along she does not want to put our state on a lockdown, so we will see this morning what she says at her press conference at 11 AM.
