If you have never played cornhole, all I can say is what’s the matter with you? Cornhole is a game that is sweeping the nation. It has been for years. But, now with the pandemic and a majority of people staying at home, this has become the perfect pastime.
I’m not sure when cornhole came into existence or who invented it, but it's really fun. If you love to be competitive, this is your game.
Here's how you play. Set up your boards facing each other 27 feet away. This game can be played with 2 or 4 players or even just by yourself. Games are played to 21. If you go over that, you must start at 15. The cornhole boards have a 24 inch by 48 inch scoring platform usually made of wood. Each player throws 4 cornhole bags filled with corn, beans or sand. The object is to get these standard size beanbags into a 6 inch hole on the platform, which is 6 inches from the top of the board.
A lot of people will play corn hole at tailgate parties, BBQs, any kind of get-together. All ages can play, and it’s just a blast. But, we get very competitive in our backyard. It’s no holds barred.
They even have a professional cornhole league that is on ESPN. This cornhole has gotten unbelievably popular. If you haven’t played, you need to get the game and start throwing the bags. It’s popularity has caught on in the last ten years like wild fire. Like I said, it’s becoming our national pastime, especially when a lot of Americans are staying at home. This game can also be played indoors if you have enough room.
So, get out there and see what you're missing. Cornhole is the new game that can be played by anyone, anytime and any place. Seriously, you need to play cornhole.
