Chris Webber Back Home For PSU-U-M?

Former Fab Five member and longtime NBA player Chris Webber (pictured above) published an Instagram post on Friday saying:

The Michigan football team hosts Penn State in Michigan Stadium on November 3rd.

Earlier this year, Michigan head football coach Jim Harbaugh invited Webber to be an honorary captain for a home football game sometime in the 2018 season.  The University of Michigan hasn't officially commented on the matter and Webber has not returned to Ann Arbor since he left campus for the NBA in 1993.

Webber helped lead Michigan's Fab Five to two straight National Championship games in 1992 and 1993.  They lost in both finals, to Duke and North Carolina, respectively.

But Webber was a major part of the Ed Martin player-payment scandal that led to the vacating of both Final Four appearances as well as a long separation between U-M and Webber, which legally ended (by NCAA ruling) in 2013.
