The Eagles announced the move Tuesday night.

After mustering just a 6-9 record with Philadelphia in 2015, the Eagles have elected to clean some house by getting rid of Kelly as well as Ed Marynowitz, Kelly's hand picked President of Player Personnel.

The Eagles offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur will serve as the interim head coach for the Eagles in their season finale against the Giants on Monday.

Kelly fought for complete control of personnel over the offseason and got it, as was evidenced by a number of aggressive moves like trading LeSean McCoy, and signing a division rival in DeMarco Murray.

Kelly has missed the playoffs the last two years at the helm of the team.
