The Charlotte Orioles used the Four Corners Offense and an enthusiastic student section to defeat the Haslett Vikings 70-61 in the Class B Regional Semifinal on Monday night at the Oriole Dome in Charlotte.

After playing to a 32-all standoff in the first half, Charlotte head coach Steve Ernst had his team go into a Four Corners offense in the second half and that led to many easy baskets at the rim.

Charlotte was led in scoring by reserve Kyle Peterson, who had 20 points and 5 rebounds.  Sy Barnett added 19 points and 6 rebounds.

Haslett (18-6) was led by junior Brandon Allen, who had 16 points and 3 rebounds.  Darek Wroblak added 15 points and 9 rebounds before fouling out in the fourth quarter.  Alec Dunckel chipped in with 14 points.

The Orioles (15-8) advance to Wednesday's Regional Championship against Wyoming Godwin Heights, who easily defeated Alma in Semifinal # 1 76-37.
