Michael Alford, who was the Athletic Director for Central Michigan University, left CMU to be a lead in a fundraiser for Florida State athletics.

This departure had been announced on Wednesday, according to WSYM. This departure came a week after the Big Ten had decided only conference games would be played.

Originally, CMU was set to play Nebraska as well as Northwestern in September. These games would've helped the athletics budget for this year.

Alford will be with Central Michigan up until the end of August before starting his new role at Florida State.
