Can Tom Izzo’s MSU Hoop Team Get Through The Weekend?
Tonight, at 9:40 in Greenville, South Carolina the Spartan’s go to battle with the Davidson Wildcats.
This game will be very intriguing for many reasons. First, and foremost the former MSU player and Mr. Basketball of Michigan Foster Loyer will be MSU’s opponent. Loyer, jumped into the Transfer Portal when he knew his playing time would probably be cut.
But, he transferred to Davison and is high scorer on the Wildcat team averaging 16.3 points per game. ESPN’s Joe Lunardi picked Davison to upset MSU. I really don’t care what that cat thinks or predicts. He doesn’t know any more than anyone else. But, he is right about one thing.
This year’s Spartan team has been very inconsistent. Really to their demise in some losses. But, I like MSU tonight. If Izzo’s team gets by Davison they will probably be playing Duke on Sunday.
This could be Coach K’s last game coaching in college hoop. Because of his retirement. But, the Spartan team has a ton of work to do to get out of the first weekend. If they beat Foster Loyer than their facing the Blue Devils on Sunday.
But, they have to beat Cal-State Fullerton first. This weekend could be epic for Tom Izzo or a complete torcher chamber. It depends on which of his Jekyll and Hyde team will show up. That’s why they call it March Madness.
