The MSU Spartan football season is winding down. It seems like a very surreal season too. MSU has won just two games and is averaging only 17 points per game. That’s not enough to win consistently.

The one thing that I have taken out of this season is head coach Mel Tucker is not happy with what he sees with his current roster of players. I have never met or had any conversations with Coach Tucker, but he has to be thinking that.

A possible star has told MSU he will leave the team and enter his name in the transfer portal. The current quarterback situation is not really bright for next season either. Bottom line, MSU needs many better players. Tucker and his staff will have to comb the portal, JUCO’s and the country for better talent. If you want to compete with the big boys, you have to work harder.

MSU brought Mel Tucker in as the new head coach under the recommendation from Former MSU head coach and current Alabama coach Nick Saban. I know Saban wouldn’t be happy with the current situation at MSU.

This weekend MSU will travel to Happy Valley, State College, Beaver Stadium and play Penn St. They are a fourteen and a half road underdog. Good luck on the road!
