Can LeBron Win Another Crown With His Third Team?

The Los Angeles Lakers are three games from winning another NBA Championship. This time is another chapter in Laker folklore. You had the Jerry West and Wilt era, then the Magic and Kareem era, then the Kobe and Shaq era. Now in Tinsel Town there is a new sheriff. His name is LeBron James.

James came to the Lakers from his hometown team the Cleveland Cavaliers. His career has been pretty interesting. He was drafted by the Cavs right out of high school in Akron, Ohio. The first pick in the first round. LeBron is also known as the Chosen One and the King. But his team struggled until he was a free agent and left Cleveland to go to Miami.

There he joined the Heat where his friend and superstar Dwayne Wade was already playing. They won two NBA championships in 2012 and 2013. He also earned league MVP and Finals MVP in both years. This guy has won so many awards I don’t have enough time to tell you about all of them.

After his stint with the Miami Heat, he went back to play with the Cleveland Cavs again. There he won another NBA championship. After that he was on the move again. Now, he goes to Tinsel Town. Which is Los Angeles, California. Earvin “Magic” Johnson was running the Lakers at that time. He got free agent LeBron James signed. Earvin left the Lakers front office for personal reasons, but he tried numerous times to trade with the New Orleans Pelicans for their superstar player Anthony Davis. At the time their G.M. would not play ball with “Magic,” meaning he wanted more players. That deal was made after their G.M. was canned.

So now Anthony Davis goes to LA to play with LeBron. In their first year together, they didn’t even make the playoffs. Now, they're three games from winning the NBA championship. Of course, the pandemic sent the season to Orlando to be played in the bubble. We'll have to wait and see if LeBron can win another crown with his third team.
