Calm Before the Storm: Mad Dog’s Thoughts on MSU vs. Ohio State
Well, it’s almost here. MSU versus The Ohio State tomorrow at the Horseshoe in Columbus, Ohio.
The Horseshoe holds almost 107,000 people. It'll mostly be fans that wear scarlet and grey and that are from Ohio. This is going to be the most-watched game in the country.
MSU is in the neighborhood of a 19 point underdog on the road. The Ohio State has an elite offense that is ranked the best in all of college football.
Also, a big sticking point is the head football coach for MSU, Mel Tucker, is on the verge of signing a 10 year $95 million contract. That has to be an incentive for Buckeye head coach Ryan Day to stomp a mudhole in MSU.
There will have to be a perfect effort from State to defeat the Buckeyes in their home stadium. I’ve talked about this ad nauseam.
MSU’s defense will have to be ten times better than they were two weeks ago against Purdue on the road, too.
The bottom line is MSU has a lot in the positive column, but The Ohio State might just have a little more.
The calm before the storm is here! MSU can win, but it will have to be Katy bar the door!
